Rainbow Six SEA CupTournament Rules Eligibility: Participant must be a "Rainbow Six Siege" player from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau or Southeast Asia on the PC platform. The Tournament will be held online. 1.1 Tournament Description- The "Rainbow Six SEA Cup" is an online tournament held for players of " Rainbow Six Siege" on the PC platform from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Southeast Asia.
- The tournament is open to teams and players from the following countries and areas: Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
- In continuation to the 2017 Rainbow Six SEA Community Cup, the tournament will be divided into three seasons (#4/#5/#6 respectively), with each season spanning four weeks.
- Open ranking matches will be conducted during the first three weeks of every season, with the playoffs held in the fourth week. The top 4 ranked players from each season's playoffs will be awarded prizes in accordance with the final ranking at the conclusion of the tournament.
- Open ranking matches need to be registered on a weekly basis. A limit of 64 teams per week exists, with randomized matchmaking. The actual match will be conducted online. Points will be awarded according to the ranking of the week. Top 8 ranked players with points total accumulated from the first three weeks of the season will be qualified to attend the playoffs in the fourth week.
- Points from the match will not be accumulated beyond each individual season (#4/#5/#6).
- Semi-finals from each season's playoffs will be broadcasted on the official Rainbow Six channel in Chinese(Mandarin), Cantonese and Thai.
1.2 Open Ranking Match Phase Rules - Online open ranking matches for every season will be held every Friday at 18:00(UTC+8) and Saturday night at 19:00(UTC+8) for the first three weeks of the season.
- Single elimination applies for each match, the team displayed on the top column gains the right to chose server (EAS/SEAS/WJA), and also initiate the first round of the Ban Map (Map Veto) process.
- Both teams will ban the maps alternately until only one map is left, and the match will commence.
- Finals and Third Place Match will be held in BO3 format.
- Both teams will ban the maps alternately until only three map is left, and after deciding map-playing order, the match will commence.
- Upon completion of the match, both teams are responsible for taking screenshots of the match result, and uploading it to the "Confirming Match Result" section of the registration page.
- Points awarded for weekly ranking:
- 1st place: 32 points
- 2nd place: 24 points
- 3rd place: 16 points
- 4th place: 12 points
- 5th to 8th place: 8 points
- 9th to 16th place: 6 points
- 17th to 64th place:0 point
- Each team must attend and win at least one match, to be awarded the points associated with the rank.
- Points total for the season will be calculated after the first three weeks to determine the top 8 players of the season.
- Should the 8th and 9th ranked players of the season are of equal points, an additional match will be held on the day before the quarter-final on Friday 19:00 (UTC+8) to determine the final placement.
1.3 Playoff Phase Rules- Playoffs of every season will be held on Saturday afternoon of the fourth week at 13:00 (UTC+8), single elimination(Bo1) applies.
- Quarter-finals and semi-finals are single elimination matches, while finals will be determined by the best of 3(Bo3).
- Opponents for the quarter finals will be determined by their respective ranking, with the 1st facing off against the 8th, the 2nd facing off against the 7th, and so on.
- Teams displayed on the top column gains the right to chose server, and also initiate the first round of the Ban Map process.
- Both teams will ban the maps alternately until only one map is left, and the match will commence.
- Finals and Third Place Match will be held in BO3 format.

- Prizes will be awarded in accordance with the final ranking.

2.1 Match Preparation and Loss of Connection- Match officially begins at the Ban Map phase, no players are allowed to leave their seats barring emergencies.
- Should any player lost connection within 15 seconds of the start of the match, and there has been no contact between the teams, the match may be restarted. Should the match already elapsed for more than 15 seconds, the particular match shall continue.
- Should a team lose connection for more than 3 times during a single match, the team will be disqualified.
3.1 Registration- Each team shall consists of no less than 5 players, and no more than 7 players including substitute players.
- All teams participating in open ranking matches must finish registration before Wednesday 18:00 (UTC+8) on the week that the player would like to participate in the competition, each member of the teams must also register to become a member of Cyber Games Arena(CGA).
- Participant must be a player from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Southeast Asia (Excluding China and Australia), and must provide a Uplay ID for the PC platform.
- Open ranking match accepts up to 64 teams each week. Teams need to have at least 5 lineup members who signed up on CGA platform and joined their clans in order to be qualified for registration. First-come-first-served basis.
- The team captain should inform the tournament of any changes in roster at least a day before the match via email: tournament@4gamers.com.tw. If the team has already conducted a match, then no changes will be accepted.
4.1 Terms and Conditions- Participants must agree to authorize the use of all photos, game screenshots and videos derived from their participation in the tournament for any official Ubisoft and 4Gamers promotional purposes.
- The tournament utilizes the CGA platform, consequently all teams must list their members on the roster, and have all team members register to become a CGA member (4Gamers will verify each team member's account against the official registration submitted by the team before the match).
- Each participant is only eligible to represent one team in the tournament.
- Participants shall refrain from naming their games with indecent, vulgar, profane or lewd language.
- The winning teams and their members are required to submit their identification papers before receiving the prizes in order to verify their identities.
- The organizer reserves the right to use the participants' names, personal experiences and likenesses for the purpose of promoting the tournament and its history. According the regulation of the tournament, the organizer has the right to independently or in conjunction with its broadcasting partners, broadcast or re-broadcast contents of the tournament (including through the internet and wireless), without paying additional compensation.
- Should the tournament be delayed or cancelled under any circumstances, 4Gamers will not return or compensate for any fees (except deposit paid for registration).
- 4Gamers will contact the prize winners according to the information provided by them, all contact information will be based on the information provided on the registration form, changes will not be accepted.
- Prize will be disbursed in US dollars to any single bank account from the eligible country and area of the tournament, the organizer will absorb any transaction fees resulting from the transfer. However should the receiving bank charges any additional fees and/or tax, or the difference in exchange rate result in additional tax and fees, the team is expected to absorb the amount.
- Prize cannot be transferred, not can the prize be returned, or liquidated in cash.
5.1 Unforeseen Circumstances and Penalties- Unless the team be otherwise engaged with a previous match , all team members participating in the particular match should be present within 15 minutes of the start of the match, otherwise the team automatically forfeit the match. Should your opponent be unable to arrive in time, please contact the tournament staff.
- Players are responsible for their own hardware and internet connections, should the participating team be unable to meet the minimum required number of players (5), then the match will be forfeited.
- Should a team be absent from a match without cause twice, the team will be banned from any further match.
- Participants are forbidden to make any changes to their Uplay ID over the course of the tournament.
- Should any team be discovered using any plugin software or exploiting any glitch or bug of the game, 4Gamers will disqualify the team on the spot.
- Participants are forbidden from behaving in any manner that may result in an unfair match, including but not limited to behaviors such as "placing Deployable Shield in front of the window obstructing the attackers from entering through the window". 4Gamers will investigate any claim of such behavior, and disqualify the offenders should the offense be considered of sufficient severity.
- The team that initiated the match should follow all instructions, both teams are responsible for verifying whether the setup of the match is correct. Should any setup issue be discovered, please file a complaint to 4Gamers staff during the match, complaint filed after the end of the match will not be accepted.
- 4Gamers reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of identity fraud, or attempted to influence the match and polling results through programs.
- Should the players and teams discover any unreasonable delays or abnormalities in connection quality (ping), please inform the staff members at once. 4Gamers reserves the right to change servers for individual matches dependent upon onsite conditions.
- 4Gamers reserves the right to sue for damages and other compensations from participants violating stated rules and regulations.
- Should any unforeseen circumstance(such as problems with the official servers, or any other accident) result in the game unable to continue, the referee will render judgment on whether there should be a rematch or a winner according to the prevailing condition of the match.
- Should there be an official broadcast of the match, participants are forbidden from streaming the match. Violation will result in the team's immediate disqualification.
- Personal streaming is allowed during open ranking matches, please obtain permission from your opponent during the registration phase over the match chatroom on the tournament page, and only initiate the stream upon your opponent's consent. Should the stream be initiated without the consent of your opponent, a warning will be issued. A team will be disqualified upon receiving a second warning. Please take care to stream on a delay, referees will ignore any complaint on opponents' watching your stream.
- The presence of any additional observer other then the referees within the match room requires the consent of both teams, please obtain permission from your opponent during the registration phase over the match chatroom on the tournament page, and only allow the observer to enter upon your opponent's consent. Should an observer be allowed to enter the match room without the consent of your opponent, a warning will be issued. A team will be disqualified upon receiving a second warning.
- A pause of the match can be requested from the referee under the following conditions:
- Sudden malfunction in the match hardware.
- Persistent and serious delays or loss of connection.
- Player experiencing severe physical discomfort that may require discontinuation of the match.
Esport espouses sportsmanship, consequently any attempt at controlling the game or profit through opportunistic behavior is strictly forbidden. Should any violation of fair Esport rules, such as transferring points, intentionally losing a match, financial transaction, threat of physical violence, or unreported player substitution takes place, and concrete evidence could be provided (such as screenshots or videos), the violator shall be severely penalized once the accusation is confirmed. 5.2 Miscellaneous Guidelines- 4Gamers and Ubisoft reserve the right to change any details regarding the tournament at anytime without prior notification.
- 4Gamers reserves the right to change the date and timetable of the tournament at anytime without prior notification.
- Should any dispute arises, 4Gamers and Ubisoft reserve any and all rights on making the final arbitration.
- Should any dispute on these clause and conditions arises from discrepancies and inconsistencies between the Chinese, English and Thai language versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
- Results of the tournament will be announced on the official Facebook account of 4Gamers and Ubisoft, or the official tournament website.

- A team with 3 Taiwanese players, 1 Hong Kong player and 1 player from other SEA area — Since all players are from the SEA area, the team would be eligible to participate. However the nationality of the team (a required field for each team) must be filled with the nationality that is predominant amongst all team members . In this case the nationality shall be Taiwanese.

Preparation Phase This is the phase before registration, team captains are allowed to: - Alter match roster.
- Alter match time within the preconfigured range (require approval from the opponent).
Registration Phase 15 minutes before the match, the interface will transform into the "registration phase". Registration can be conducted by the team captains. The match begins immediately after both teams complete their registration. Should a team fail to complete registration 15 minutes after the designated time for the match, the match is forfeited. Match Phase Upon completion of registration by both team captains at the designated match time, the interface transforms into the "match phase". Both teams initiate the match and determines the result, the winner of the match then submit the result. Result Processing Phase The system receives the match results, this will only take a moment. Result Verification (Due to Discrepancies in the Results Submitted) Due to a discrepancy in the results submitted, a referee is required to enter the system, and manually examine the results received in order to reach a verdict.
