The Online Qualifiers
A. Important Notes
1.
All participants must read all parts of the Rules and Regulations/Terms and Conditions/Statement and Disclaimer/Indemnity.
2.
Hong Kong Tourism Board (the Organiser) and/or Cyber Games Arena Limited (CGA, the Event Manager) has the right to contact the applicants to seek information regarding their application. CGA will disseminate relevant information to all Participants by email. Please ensure that the registered email address is valid and checked regularly.
3.
The Organiser reserves the right to reject applications from participants who violate any of the Rules and Regulations/Terms & Conditions for all future e-sports tournaments organised by the Organiser and/or CGA.
4.
The results of the competition will be announced on the official event website.
B. RULES & REGULATIONS
1.
Basic rules:
1.1
All players must check in at the designated time by the Organiser. Teams not present within the specified time will be deemed to have automatically forfeited participation right in the competition.
1.2
Each person can only participate in one team and participate in the region that matches their birthplace or place of residence.
1.3
Each team needs a minimum of five players and can register up to six players. One of the players on the field is designated as the captain and one is designated as the substitute. If a team has only five members, it is considered that there is no substitute. In the case of reviewing the substitute, only five persons will be counted. The roster is subject to the offline sign-up list.
1.4
The winning teams of the qualifiers have to submit their valid identity documents to prove they are an eligible player for the specific game region. If any team member is unable to provide the identity on time or cannot prove that his/her place of birth or place of residence matches the region, the team might be disqualified and replaced by the next ranking team.
1.5
Offline sign-up must be registered with an ID card or other valid identity document at the finals in Hong Kong.
1.6
Team members must not be staff, personnel, agents or contractors of the Organiser and/or CGA throughout the competition period.
1.7
King Glory Professional League KPL team members are not allowed to participate in EMFHK - e-Sports Tournaments 'Honor of Kings' Official City Tournament.
2.
Competition machines, competition server and networks:
During the qualifiers, the players will use their own equipment and network. It is recommended that the player bring their own Wi-Fi.
The finals are executed as follows:

Game rules:
3.1
All competitions are 5v5 Kings Canyon Calling Mode.
3.2
The outcome of the match is determined by the system.
3.3
Top 64 to 16 will apply a Bo1, top 8 to final will apply a Bo3.
3.4
The referee will flip a coin to determine sides, the winner opens the room and is on the upper side of the room, the other team is on the lower side of the room, the two teams will switch sides after each game.
3.5
Opening a room and entering the room must be efficient; teams must act within 3 minutes after referee makes decision. If the team fails to do so it is considered a waiver.
3.6
The gamer shall not intentionally quit the game throughout the competition. If this occurs, the offender shall be deemed to have abstained from the game.
3.7
If there are players abstaining from participating with the team and the number of participants is less than five, the team will be disqualified.
3.8
When the players (including the regular players and substitute players) have the following unfair or unethical game behaviours, including but not limited to: collusion competition, split bonuses in advance, exploit loopholes, sneak peeks, unauthorised substitution, cheat, interfere, verbal abuse, physical abuse, insults (including opponents, organiser, live audiences etc), broadcast interference, illegal crimes, etc. CGA has the right to impose penalties on players and their teams. Penalties include, but are not limited to verbal warnings, fines and/or forfeiture of bonuses, waiver, suspension, and disqualification.
4.
Disconnection:
4.1
After the start of the game, in the event of a disconnection, abnormal account, abnormal device, server crash, etc the player must immediately inform the referee and the referee will pause the game. Once the abnormality ends and after the referee informs both parties, the referee ends the pause and the game continues.
4.2
If players pause or cancel the game without the permission of the referee, it will be considered as an act that affects the fairness of the game. CGA has the right to impose penalties on players and their teams.
4.3
If the game cannot be paused and cannot continue normally, referee can decide that the game needs to be restarted. Both teams need to use the normal room directly, select the same champions, summoner skills etc to enter the game. If there is a secret change, the team will be disqualified.
4.4
CGA has the right to arbitrate according to the situation of the competition.
5.
Authority pausing mechanism:
5.1
The competition authority player may apply to the referee for pausing in the following circumstances. However, the referee must be notified after the pausing and the reasons should be explained. Acceptable reasons include:

Unpausing the game must be approved by a referee and occur after all players have been informed and prepared. In particular, after the captain has spoken to all players in the game to make sure both parties are ready to continue the game, the observers in the client will unpause the game.
5.3
Unauthorised pausing. If the player has not obtained the official permission to pause or unpause the game, it will be considered as an act affecting the fairness of the game. The team will be penalised.
6.
Player substitution rules:
The starters must be the same team as the team members who signed up for the first game; the players cannot be substituted during the match; if the players need to be substituted in the second and subsequent games, one player can be substituted.
C. Terms and Conditions
1.
All participants must be residents of Guangzhou region, Shenzhen region, Zhongshan region, or Hong Kong and Macau aged 16 or above and have valid identification documents.
2.
All players must be able to participate in the online qualifier and offline final.
3.
Applicants must be registered CGA members (CGA will check whether the player's account number and the official registration information are correct before the game).
4.
The acceptance of the registration will be prioritised by the team which has completed the roster on a first come, first served basis.
5.
The name of the participating team must not contain any indecent and/or vulgar words.
6.
The Organiser and CGA will not compensate for any delay or cancellation of the game.
7.
After the final, winners and their team members must complete the registration formalities and present their identity documents to verify their identity before registering and collecting prizes.
8.
CGA will contact the winners based on the contact information provided by the winners. All contact details are based on the registration form information provided and changes are not allowed without CGA’s prior approval.
9.
All prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable with cash.
10.
The Organiser and CGA reserve the right to modify any competition time, schedule and details at any time without prior notice.
11.
The winning team from each region, four teams in total, will take part in the Finals of EMFHK - e-Sports Tournaments 'Honor of Kings' Official City Tournament held in Hong Kong. The Organiser will provide the round-trip train/ferry tickets from Guangzhou region, Shenzhen region, Zhongshan region/Macau to Hong Kong and hotel accommodation in Hong Kong. Teams must make sure they have valid travel documents to Hong Kong. If team members have travel document-related issues causing not enough team members for the event, the teams will be replaced by the next best ranking team.
12.
CGA will send a confirmation letter and form to the winning teams; teams must return the signed letter and completed form by the submission deadline. If any teams fail to return the signed letter and form on time, they may be seen as a team forfeiture in the finals in Hong Kong and be replaced by the next best ranking team.
13.
In case of any dispute, the Organiser and CGA reserve the right of final decision.
D. Statement and Disclaimer/Indemnity
1. Personal Information Collection Statement: 1.1
The personal data provided in the registration process will be used by the Organiser, its agents and partners for the purpose of enrolment processing.
1.2
In order to serve the specified purpose(s), the personal data collected may be transferred to the agents and partners of the Organiser for administrative purpose(s).
1.3
The personal data collected will not be disclosed to third parties, other than those specified, without your prior approval, or unless required by law.
1.4
Unless otherwise indicated, all personal data requested under this registration system is required for enrolment purpose(s). The provision of any incomplete or inaccurate information will result in delay or withdrawal of enrolment.
1.5
As a data subject, you have the right to request access to and correction of the personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. To request access to or updating of personal data, please contact CGA at info@cga.gg.
2. Disclaimer/Indemnity: 2.1
I wish to participate in the ‘EMFHK - e-Sports Tournaments 'Honor of Kings' Official City Tournament’.
2.2
I confirm that I am physically fit and capable of participating in the event and I am participating in the event at my own risk and responsibility.
2.3
I hereby agree to abide by all rules and conditions laid down by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (the Organiser) and CGA.
2.4
I for myself, my heirs, my executors and administrators, release and discharge the Organiser, CGA, the sponsors and any other individuals or organisations connected directly or indirectly with the event (‘the Indemnified’) from any responsibility in the event of an accident or mishap which may cause me injury, death or loss of property during, as a consequence of or while travelling to or from the event.
2.5
I shall indemnify the Indemnified against any loss, cost and expense incurred and any claim brought against them by any third party arising from or in connection with my participation in the event.
2.6
I authorise the verification of any and all information submitted.
2.7
I grant an irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable licence to use my application, photos, appearance, name, voice, biodata and likeness in connection with the event and to reproduce, publicly display, edit, create derivative works of, and distribute the photos, videos or any other record of the event in all media for any lawful purpose. I agree to waive any right of inspection or approval associated therewith.
2.8
Lastly, I confirm that all submitted information is true and agree to all rules and terms laid down by the Organiser and CGA once I submit the application. I understand that the Organiser has the right of final acceptance of applications and the right to change the event details without prior notice.
